Hospitality Rising is a collaborative movement formed by Mark McCulloch to create an innovative, world class marketing campaign that will attract new talent to the sector and shine a light on exemplar employers who are raising the bar for employee experience across the industry.
That campaign #risefastworkyoung is live and being showcased across the UK via digital ads and digital screens in all major cities. Our campaign champions the hospitality industry which lets you rise up the ranks at pace and keeps your spirit young.
Our coalition of progressive businesses are passionate about working together to raise the profile of hospitality and have pledged £10 per employee to make this campaign a reality. As we approach the end point of our first year, we are offering operators the option of joining or resubscribing for just 50p per employee per month. This is for unlimited access to our job board, while helping us in our mission to change the perception of our industry.
When I was approached by Hospitality Rising to invest in this project, I had no hesitation.
The present situation is dire for many hospitality businesses and in turn, for those who provide goods and services that supply hospitality. We are at a crucial point where we can either so something about it or let fate decide whether hospitality survives and thrives in the future.
Hospitality recruitment is in crisis and it needs a bold response. Hospitality Rising is that response and it’s an opportunity to show the world the amazing benefits and opportunities it offers. We’ve invested because without staff there is no hospitality sector, they are your greatest asset and we need to future proof the industry we love.
We at The Pig and LimeWood hotels were early supporters of the Hospitality Rising campaign. For £10 per employee, we are helping fund the very first national advertising campaign to encourage engagement and help combat the prejudice and outdated myths surrounding careers in hospitality. I would urge any hospitality operator who can possibly afford to do the same, to back this enterprise.
I genuinely believe that if everyone spent time working in hospitality – the world would be a happier place. Totally in support of the ever present Mark McCulloch and Hospitality Rising UK in trying to raise the profile of hospitality as a genuine, rewarding and opportunity filled career choice. Everyone likes being hospitable, right?
